Commissioner Gale received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from Arizona State University, and a Bachelors degree in Hotel Administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In March 2009, Mr. Gale retired from the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the State’s casino regulatory authority, after thirty years of service.  From February 1987 until retirement, he served as the Board’s Chief Auditor, managing the 97 accounting professionals and seven support staff of the Audit Division.  The Audit Division is primarily responsible for performing tax and regulatory compliance audits of the State’s largest casinos. Mr. Gale has been a licensed Nevada CPA since 1983, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Nevada Society of CPAs.  He is a current member of a national task force charged with rewriting and updating the AICPA’s Audit and Accounting Guide, Audits of Casinos.
