An attorney by trade, Commissioner Moran III practices primarily in all areas of commercial transactions and matters involving business organizations. He graduated from Arizona State University and received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. He clerked in Washington, D.C., for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada and has litigated cases in both State and Federal Courts, as well as, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to his appointment by the Governor to the Ethics Commission, Mr. Moran III sat as a City of Henderson Municipal Court Judge Pro Tem and since June of2004. Mr. Moran III has, also, been fortunate enough to serve the State Bar of Nevada as an appointee to the Standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Ethics as well as the Fee Dispute Committee.
