Chairman Todd Russell called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2003.
In closed session, pursuant to NRS 241.015, subsection 2(b)(2), the Commission received information from Commission Counsel regarding potential or existing litigation involving matters over which the Commission has supervision, control, jurisdiction, or advisory power and deliberated toward a decision on the matters.
In open session, following the Commission’s deliberations under Agenda Item No. 1, a motion was made by Commissioner Sheets and seconded by Commissioner Hatcher to waive the $5,000 fine imposed against Assemblyman Bob Beers in Commission Opinion CP98-02/CP98-03. The motion was put to a vote and passed 5-1; Commissioner Kosinski opposed.
